Bulldogge Puppies Barking

Today the puppies seem so much more alert.  When Daisy hops into the whelping box they go into attack mode.  No such thing as just checking on them, always ends up nursing.  We notice that the pups are playing with each other, chewing, licking and mouthing each other.  Hearing alot of chattering, growls and baby barks.  Eye sight is improving noticing people walking by, also when lights are turned on or off.

Barking!!

First Vet Visit

We were a little concerned about the health of Daisy, she’s wanted to go outside a lot and noticed indicators for some professional attention. So loaded up the whole crew (momma and pups) and went to see Dr. Collen at the vet to check it out make sure that everything is okay. The vet didn’t seem overly concerned and really felt that it was due to the stress of labor of ten pups. She did however worm Daisy and sent us home w/ an antibiotic in case Daisy didn’t improve. Dr. Collen took care of the puppy business (tails and dew claws), and gave them a clean look.  Pups did not like the visit. She was amazed that Daisy had ten pups, she also looked over pups and said that they were completely healthy and beautiful. Thank You Dr. Collen!

Bigge Day!

It was about 8:30am, and Daisy just started to really pant and dig.  Soon after we could see her tail rise and she would push. She was very,  very restless and just keep digging and digging in the whelping box. It was then that the pushing was frequent that we could see the puppy descending down. Daisy gave birth to her first puppy, a male, at 8:56 a.m. with her entire family watching.  It was an amazing and wonderful experience to us and the kids. She did great. It was then that the puppies came, one after the other, until at about 1:22 in the afternoon, she decided to be done, with ten very cute and healthy bulldogge puppies! The day wrapped up with Daisy exhausted.  Good job, girl!!

Well today Daisy is looking like she is ready to explode.

Some funnier things: Daisy whines

at the top of stairs and waits till someone will walk down wit

h her, she just rolls down the steps.  Also she gets up on the couch one paw at a time.  Well tonight at around 5pm we noticed her panting signifying the first part of labor.
